A new study reveals that radio plays a major role in driving tune-in for television premieres while also delivering a younger audience. Westwood One is sharing the results from a major cable network’s ad campaign that used traditional broadcast radio to help launch the returning season of a scripted drama series. Although radio accounted for a small percentage of the media budget – just five percent – it generated significant impressions and incremental reach with more than 20 percent of total campaign impressions.

The study, conducted by Nielsen, also revealed that AM/FM radio also delivered a younger audience than other media platforms. Seventy percent of radio impressions came from 18-54 year-olds.

True crime network Oxygen sought to raise awareness for their new series Unspeakable Crime: The Killing of Jessica Chambers and enlisted PREMIERETV’s support with broadcast publicity.

Using crime journalist Beth Karas and the series director Joe Berlinger, PREMIERETV coordinated a Satellite Tour that included television interviews in top markets across the country in markets such as San Francisco, Phoenix, Portland, Las Vegas and many more.

The SMT reached an audience of more than ten million people. Immediately following the SMT, Unspeakable Crime premiered as Oxygen’s highest rated series since their re-brand as a true crime network.


The original mini-series The Bobby Brown Story was a key piece of programming for BET’s fall season.

To help raise awareness and engage as many viewers as possible, BET engaged PREMIERETV to support their publicity efforts with a Satellite Media Tour. The media team at PREMIERETV successfully pitched approximately 15 television interviews for stars Woody McClain and Gabrielle Dennis in BET’s key target markets including Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit and Washington DC.

The SMT reached a television audience of more than 1.8 million, representing an ad value of more than $200,000. Immediately after the SMT, The Bobby Brown Story premiere hit a high ratings note for BET, amassing 6.6 million total viewers, and BET ranked as the number one most social cable primetime network during the mini-series’ two-night broadcasts.


To help promote the premiere of its highly anticipated new series Mayans M.C., FX enlisted PREMIERETV to coordinate a Satellite Media Tour for the show’s stars Edward James Olmos and J.D. Pardo.

Leveraging fans’ interest in the Sons of Anarchy spin-off, PREMIERETV was able to generate 15 television interviews during the SMT including local affiliates in major markets such as Chicago, Dallas, DC, San Francisco and Miami.

The Satellite Tour interviews were viewed by an audience of more than 5.5 million, which represents an ad value of nearly $175,000. After the SMT, Mayans M.C. premiered to the best ratings of any new cable series this year in every major demo.

Princess Cruises hired PREMIERETV to shoot and edit the promo for their second musical show Born to Dance created exclusively for Princess from Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked).

PREMIERETV’s talented and skilled production crew went aboard the ship for a three-camera shoot to create an engaging video that would encourage consumers to book a Princess Cruise to see the production. In addition, PREMIERETV’s highly accomplished Creative Director / Post-Production team created the promo for online and web publicity purposes.


Ten years ago, the groundbreaking nature film series Planet Earth dazzled viewers around the globe with an unprecedented, high-definition view of life on Earth. When it came time to unveil the highly anticipated sequel -- Planet Earth II -- BBC America turned to PREMIERETV to help spread the word.

BBC America enlisted PREMIERETV to execute a multi-tiered outreach program that included a satellite media tour, radio tour and audio news release. The PREMIERETV media team coordinated TV and radio interviews with Planet Earth II executive producer Mike Gunton in top markets around the country, including Chicago, Washington DC, Dallas, San Francisco, Minneapolis and Portland, as well as nationally syndicated programs. Princess Cruises recently debuted a new musical revue, Magic To Do, the first-ever cruise line production from Oscar-, Grammy- and Tony-winning composer Stephen Schwartz.
